Daniel Applegate served in the American Revolution beginning at age 11 as a fife and drummer. He was made a private at age 14.
After their marriage, Daniel and Rachel Applegate lived in Scott Co., Kentucky. They moved to Henry Co., Kentucky, in 1806. After her death in 1816, he moved the family to Chariton Co., MO.
Daniel married Rachel Lindsay on 10 Jun 1790 in Woodford County, KY. Rachel (daughter of Jr. Anthony Lindsay and Rachel Ann Dorsey) was born in 1769 in Baltimore County, MD; died after 1827 in Missouri. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
