Regiment and in 1739 was promoted to Captain (2nd Rep. of State
Historian, pg. 493 & 500).
His will in which he calls himself "esquire" is dated 30 April 1760 and
proved 23 August 1769 (Col. of Albany Wills, pg. 420)
