Notes |
- Mr. B. Yancey Womack died at his home near this place last Wednesday morning after a painful illness of about five months, leaving a devoted mother Mrs. A. E. Y. Womack, and brother Mr. T. P. Womack and sisters Mrs. L. M. Neal and Mrs. J. W. Wiggins Jr. and numerous other relations to mourn his loss. He was a loving and affectionate son and brother and loyal friend. His mother said he was the best of sons and had never given her a saucy word since he was a very little boy. That he had many true friends is shown by a large crowd with tear stained eyes at the funeral and burial. He bore with patience all his afflictions and died trusting in his God. Death was a great relief to him. May the loving healing hand of God be placed upon all of the family and comfort them in the time of sorrow. He was 36 years old at his death. He was buried at the family burying ground at home. Rev. N. B. Campbell conducted the funeral and burial services. His remarks were sweet and comforting.
