Notes |
- Mary became a very wealthy young woman when her father died in 1851 - her mother died a year after she was born. It had been asked of Wade III to help her out with financial affairs of running the Manchester plantation. It was stated that Mary was a shy, delicate looking young woman with deep blue eyes and long, dark hair falling in curls to her shoulders. Wade was over six feet tall, robust, large in size and manner, healthy, rugged outdoor looks. Whereas Mary perferred indoor activities, Wade was very much the outdoors man.
