- He sailed on the True Love from London in Sept. 1635 with his second wife and four of his children.
He stayed in Boston, then moved to Watertown, Hartford, and New Haven. He signed the Fundamental Agreement in New Haven in 1639 and was in Hartford in 1642. At the time of his death he still owned property in Giglewede, Craven, Yorkshire, which he inherited from his father. Is this the name of his birthplace? When he died he was a member of the church in New Haven. Inventory was taken the 30th day of the 6th month, 1647 in New Haven. The first bequest in his will was to his daughter the wife of Joseph Alsop, land for house by the sea side.
