- John Martin Ogan was born in Madison Co., KY, in 1812. With his parents he emigrated to Missouri in 1815, settling near Midway, Boone Co. About 1835 he moved to Linn Co., MO. The family moved to California in 1853 with James Simeral Ogan via the Carson Pass. -I do certify that I joined in the bonds of matrimony on the 6th day of august 1835 John Ogan Jr. to Miss Lucy Harris all of the County of Boone State of Missouri.
