William Trowbridge lived all his life in his native place, the parish of
West Haven in the town of New Haven, Conn. He was a farmer. He is said to
have set the psalms in the parish Congregational church of which he and
his wife were members. He was commissioned ensign of the parish trainband
May 29, 1751.
