Thomas Thornton died testate in Richmond County leaving his estate to his wife Susannah Thornton and by his last will and testament oddly made no reference to his children. However long recitations state that Henry Burditt of Lunenburg Parish by will dated November 29 1793 bequeathed 90 acres of land to Thomas Thornton and Susanna, his wife, with reversion to their children, and that as the said Susanna(h) died circa 1762.
