MESHACK TURNER FAMILY by Lucille Maddox , Alcorn
---"According to the 1744 Caroline County, Virginia order Book. The estate of Richard Turner was probated in 1742. The death of his wife in 1744 resulted in the children being assigned to a guardian. It lists Meshack, Abednego, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Ann with guardianships. It is supposed that Shadrack would have been 16 at this time and would not need a guardian."
