He was a soldier in the Revolution. He enlisted in June, 1776, in Capt.
Nathaniel Johnson's company, Col. William Douglas' regiment, CT
state troops, and was in the battle of Long Island. His term of service
expired in December, 1776. ("Connecticut in the Revolution", p. 407.)
He died unmarried.
