the Trowbridge family in America; Francis Bacon Trowbridge; Tuttle,
Morehouse & Taylor; New Haven; 1908.
Joseph Trowbridge settled in the southern part of the town of Woodbury,
Conn., in the parish of Southbury. He was engaged in farming there until
a few years before his death, which occurred at the home of his son,
Doctor Joseph, with whom he had passed his declining years. He and his
wife were members of the Congregational church in Oxford, Conn.
