  Burned in auto accident on Brokaw Road at the Guadalupe River, Bridge in San Jose, CA Cargill was a senior at Yuma Union High School when Jewell Martin/Stevenson was a freshman. Cargill signed Jewell's 1929 freshman yearbook thus: 'Dearest Jewell. I sure am sorry if I caused you to get the devil. I think you are an awful cute girl and I like you a hell of a lot.
