  • Notes
    • Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography, Volume IIV--Burgesses and Other Prominent Persons of "Sweet Hall," King William county, son of Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Claiborne, was born December 16, 1680, and died August 10, 1732. He is said to have married three times and to have had twenty-seven children, which is probably an exaggeration. His last wife was Anne, daughter of Henry Fox, of King William county, by his wife Anne, daughter of Colonel John West (nephew of Lord Delaware).
