what is now Brassfield, Madison Co., Kentucky. About the year 1809, He
and his son Overton went in a flat boat down the
Ohio River to the Mississippi thence to New Orleans on a business trip.
On the return trip, John died suddenly and he was buried in the swamps of
Mississippi.
