Sion owned land in Chesterfield that he had purchased from Wm Byrd died during Revolution leaving Mary with Thomas Harris Spencer and several others. Mary lived to an old age at least part of the time in Charlotte County, Virginia home county of the elder Spencers. I know that Anne married Joel Estes of Lunenberg County, Virginia in 1770 and was dead by 1776 probably of childbirth. Benjamin Harris then married Priscilla Wager see mg 1751 in Goochland County, see Douglas Register. as said before she was the daughter of William Wager and Ann Henson. they had the following children HENSON WAGER HARRIS b1753 ref: D.R. she married 24 September 1770 at Maniken Edward Moseley ref: Douglas Register PHOEBE HARRIS b 1755 again ref Douglas Register married by 1778 location unknown to Nathanial Carrington who was b 28 Feb 1743 EDITH HARRIS B C 1757 in Cumberland County, Virginia never married. I HOPE THAT THIS CLEARS UP THE CONFUSION AND ALTHOUGH IT IS POSSIBLE FROM THE RECORDS I HAVE OF LAND PURCHASES ETC. IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO PLACE BENJAMIN HARRIS IN MARYLAND UNLESS IT WAS FOR A VERY BRIEF TIME . THE SECOND MARRIAGE WAS NOT A VERY HAPPY ONE I GATHER PRISCILLA REFUSED TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ESTATE. Notes:

President Thomas Jefferson, 3rd United States President, indicated that his family originated possibly from Wales. President Jefferson commissioned an agent to trace his lineage which was found to trace to the Jeaffresons of Dullingham House, Cambridge, England. Further research has led us back to Pettistree, Suffolk County, England where the Jeaffreson family of Dullingham had earlier originated. Possibly they may have originated still earlier in Wales, but for purposes of this article we must begin at Pettistree.

A Thomas Jefferson went to Jamaica in 1656, but the 1670 Census 14 years later shows none. It is not improbable that he left the Leeward Islands for Jamaica before finally settling in Virginia. - "Annual Report" of the Monticello Association. 1907.

Thomas Jefferson, the first to settle in Henrico Southside, lived at Osborne's across the James River from Farrar's Island and near Kingsland, home of the Branch family. His plantation was located in the Curles Section of the James River, south of the present city of Richmond, Virginia. This is in the vicinity of where the river begins it's snake-like path past Flower du Hundred (which was represented in the first Virginia Assembly of 1619 at Jamestown by his believed great uncle, John Jeaffreson).
