    Notes:

    Amos occupied first the cabin built by the Nine Partners in the fall of 1790. It stood almost in the center of the Nine Partner tract on a shelf of land on the south slope of Farrar Hill. Soon he built his cabin near this spot on lot No. 11, a portion of which he owned at the time of his death. Here he also had his blacksmith shop, the first one in Harford.

    Was a private in Capt. Alexander Foster's Co., Col. John Daggett's Regiment, Revolutionary War, for 22 days; company marched to Rhode Island on the alarm of December 8, 17777; reported discharged. He also served in Capt. Elisha May's Co., , Col. John Daggett's Regiment, August 23, 1778 to September 2, 1778 for 11 days, at Rhode Island; also Capt. Alexander Foster's Co., Col. Isaac Dean's Regiment, marched August 4, 1780, discharged August 8, 1780, 7 days. Company marched to Tiverton, R.I. on the alarm of July 31, 1780; roll sworn to at Attleborough.

    A Muster Roll of a company of foot in his Majesty's service, under the command of Captain Jonathan Eddy, in a Regiment raised by the Province of the Massachusetts Bay for the Reduction of Canada, whereof Thomas Doty, Esquire, is Colonel." Time of service from Mar. 13th to Dec. 10, 1758.

    Notes:

    William was a husbandman, and resided in Woburn till 1709 or 1710, when he moved to "Charlestown End", or the present town of Stoneham, incorporated in 17 Dec 1725. His land bordered that of his of his brother-in-law, John Vinton. He owned several lots in common with him.
    About the year 1718, he removed to Attleborough, where his two sons, William and Stephen, and his daughter Abigail lived not many years after. He bought land there of the proprietors 25 Dec 1710.
