    Oswan Benjamin Moody, lawyer, who lived and practiced in Lindsay, Okla.. received his law degree from the Univ. of Oklahoma. He was a member of t4e State Bar Assn.; the Rotary Club, of which he served as State President; Order of Beaver Boy Scout Hm.; and REA. He was a member of the Methodist Church and served on its Board of Directors. His wife, Helen Davis Moody, was a B.S. graduate of the Univ. of Oklahoma.

    David John Davis, was a business man, owner of dry goods business and hotels. He was a 33d Degree Mason and a past Master of Greenwood., Arkansas Lodge. He was active on the Board of the Methodist Church and was Chairman of the local draft board, World War I in Greenwood, Ark. Bessie Gaines., wife of Mr. Davis, attended Galloway College of Searcy, Ark. and taught school in Greenwood for several years. She now (1971) lives with her daughter, Elizabeth, Mrs. Harold W. Aldridge, in Manchester, Okla.

    Notes:

    Marshall Strother Gaines was educated in Fayetteville, Ark. and began clerking in a store in that city at the age of eighteen. After several years he moved to Greenwood, Ark. and established a mercantile business of his own. In 1883 he formed a partnership with Thos. E. Little and the firm was named L & G. This company continued until December 1887 when the partnership was dissolved by mutual agreement and the firm became M. S. Gaines and Company. Their stock of merchandise was the largest in Greenwood and the business was successful. He was a Democrat; a member of the school board of Greenwood. for six years; a Master Mason; a K of H; and he and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church South.     Marshall married Rebecca Ann Hodgens on 25 May 1877 in Greenwood, Sebastain County, AR.
