    • MARRIAGE: Gallia Co., OH Probate Court, Marriage Records, Vol. I, p. 20. It is possible that there was a problem with this marriage (the minister was not qualified) since another couple married about the same time had to be remarried in 1815, Jane GILLILAND and Rev. Elias WEBB. Jane GILLILAND WEBB made a statement about this problem in a pension application. Since the names are the same, or about the same, it would appear that this couple may also have been affected by this problem. From Don Bowman II, Ashland, KY, "all I found was a typed reference to it in a compilation of '1803-1853 Greenup Co. KY Marriages'. Here's what I wrote down, 'John ANGLINN (LINN) - Betsey PANCAKE 23 Mar 1815'." This date would be consistent with what Jane GILLILAND WEBB said and her own marriage date, which was sometime after she actually was married to Elias WEBB, Sr.: 8 Mar. 1818, which was later, so it may not be related, but then again, why would John and Betsey get married twice? Union Township, where they were married, is located in what is now Lawrence County. Some sources say this marriage was recorded on 23 Mar. 1815 in Greenup County; however, that is not the information I got at the courthouse.

BIRTH: Calculated from age on 1850 U.S. Census.

DEATH: Norman & Mary CLARK, 22199 Garmisch Way, Brooksville, FL 34601; Darlene Bettencourt gives the date of 4 June 1853 and place as Gallia County, Ohio. This isn't referenced, so she should be asked about it.
